'Mike & Molly' Season 4 Premiere: Preview, TV Info, & More

“The NFL Today” on CBS is one of the best choices football fans have on Sunday for pregame punditry and analysis. This week though it was a perfect place for the power of CBS synergy to rear its powerful head.

James Brown, the show’s host, was asking the roster of former players and coaches who they liked to win this week. In the middle of the discussion a giant man swathed in sweatpants walked through the screen screaming about the Steelers. At first viewers may have thought that one of the show’s cameramen was having an onset meltdown. The yelling continued without making much sense, but the guys on set were laughing their heads off at this new arrival. Just as it clicked for viewers what they were seeing Brown, the best sports host on TV, explained clearly what was going on.

“We want to thank Billy Gardell from the hit show Mike & Molly for stopping by”

CBS knows it has a captive audience of men between 18-55 waiting for their fantasy weeks to kick off, and a perfect moment to remind people that “Mike & Molly” is back to kick off its fourth season. The show which stars Gardell and Melissa McCarthy of “Bridesmaids” fame, is a solid hit for the network. Even better is that the show might not have hit its ceiling with viewers. McCarthy’s film career is bigger than ever, “The Heat” with Sandra Bullock was a hit, and new viewers could still be in play for the show.
