The biggest change this season on CBS’ hit comedy “Mike & Molly” has been Melissa McCarthy’s character leaving her job as a teacher to try her hand at being a full time writer. Having Molly this far out of her depth is a very smart move. McCarthy can be at her funniest when dealing with a problem she’s unable to solve. Tonight’s all new episode of “Mike & Molly” features Molly trying to take in more real world experiences in support of her writing. Last week she rode along with Mike on his night shift as a cop, and tonight she’s vising a funeral home. Here’s the CBS synopsis of tonight’s all new episode.

Molly has a “mind blowing” experience when she goes to Victoria’s workplace, a funeral home, to research her novel. Meanwhile, Mike sneaks a peak at Molly’s writing when she’s out.

One thing I love about CBS is that all of their sitcoms have a “Meanwhile” lurking in the synopsis. The promo for tonight’s episode spends more time reminding viewers about the critical praise it gets then previewing the show. What we can guess is that the writing Mike finds will be exceedingly sexy, and cause him to worry that he’s not holding up his end of the bargain. The episode is titled “Sex and Death” which explains the funeral home and diary plots. Here’s the promo of praise for tonight’s all new “Mike & Molly”.

Making Molly a full-time writer?? This isn’t a good idea. How Hollywood can you get?
