'Mike & Molly' Season 4, Episode 5: Preview, TV Info, & More

Season 4 of “Mike & Molly” has tried to use Melissa McCarthy’s “Molly” more in the way of McCarthy’s successful movie characters. Instead of Molly just being a straight teacher, this season the new show runners decided to let the character spread its wings. So far this season Molly has quit her job and embarked on a career as a novelist. She’s ridden along with Mike’s squad car, and visited a mortuary for background. Both were great sandboxes for Molly to play in.

Tonight’s all new episode of “Mike & Molly” centers around a familiar Alfred Hitchcock format used famously in “Rear Window”. It seems Molly has decided her neighbor is a criminal, and only by her observations can he be brought to justice. This is the type of stuff the “new” Molly gets into. Let’s check out the official CBS synopsis for their description of tonight’s all new show.

Molly believes her suspicious next-door neighbor is up to no good and recruits Joyce to help her spy on him. Meanwhile, the guys get together for a poker game and end up sharing their dreams and aspirations.

Those two will be flipping roles with Molly investigating a crime while Mike shares his emotions. The promo for the episode shows just how far out of her depth Molly is when it comes to being a private investigator.
