Liam Neeson lends voice to final season of Star Wars The Clone Wars (Video)

This morning we heard the announcement that Netflix had acquired a nice package from Lucasfilm that will allow them to stream the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but the goodies didn’t stop there. Netflix has already released a clip of the upcoming final season of the show and in it, an old familiar voice makes a cameo appearance.

Liam Neeson portrayed Qui-Gon Jinn in 1999′s The Phantom Menace and has returned to Star Wars to lend his voice to tho final season of the animated show. In the clip released by Netflix, Qui-Gon speaks to Yoda though the Force and begins to teach him about knowledge even Yoda didn’t know of.

The final season was never aired on Cartoon Network, as the show was yanked by Disney after it purchased Lucasfilm from George Lucas.

Hearing Neeson back in the Star Wars universe is actually pretty cool, as some could argue he’s one of the only memorable things to come out of The Phantom Menace. The final season of Star Wars The Clone Wars will come to Netflix on March 7th and be accompanied by all of the past episodes of the as well, including the theatrically released movie.
