The Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl this year and that has opened a whole lot of doors for their players across the roster. It’s not just big names like Richard Sherman, Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll getting attention, but guys like Michael Robinson who aren’t as mainstream as others.
But regardless of what role he plays on the Seahawks, Robinson has moved on in the offseason to a different type of role in a game entirely separate from football. According to The Wrap, Robinson has booked and filmed a guest spot on the soap opera Young and the Restless.
Robinson, who taped his appearance last week, recently told “NFL Access” that “watching the stories” on “The Young and the Restless” is a guilty pleasure of his. Getting wind of his allegiance to the show, producers jumped into action and invited him to appear on the show, and Robinson eagerly accepted.
When football players win the Super Bowl, they typical go to Disney World, get photographed hanging out in Europe or relaxing on a beach somewhere with their newfound fame. For Robinson, starring in a soap opera appears to have been on his list of things to do, but you can’t fault him for being original.
