Netflix is back at it as they’ve revived yet another cult hit for global audiences to enjoy more of. While they made a name for themselves by rescuing Arrested Development, Netflix will be paying back their Canadian viewers by producing and streaming two more seasons of the hit series Trailer Park Boys.
Netflix will be releasing what will be known as season 8 and season 9 of the Canadian show that has become a cult hit in America and throughout the world.
Per a statement released from Patrice Théroux, who heads up the show’s distributing company eOne:
“We’re thrilled that the boys are back and that their loyal fans will have full-access to all their antics on Netflix robust platform. The Trailer Park Boys are Canadian legends and their brand has an incredible fan following at home and around the world. We are looking forward to seeing their global success explode as Netflix rolls out fresh content and old favorites. Netflix is undoubtedly the perfect home for the boys and we’re delighted to partner with Netflix to export the trailer park to audiences all over the world.”
Netflix is getting behind Trailer Park Boys as the streaming service will be releasing three new standalone specials from the series as well as two new feature length films to add to the catalog. All content will be exclusively available through Netflix in the coming year.
