It’s been almost two years since we last saw a new episode of the hit FX series Louie, but the streak will end this May when the show returns to FX with all new episodes. According to a press release from FX, the Emmy Award wining series from comedian Louis C.K. will be back ager a 19-month hiatus.
FX made the news official through a press release which was posted and forwarded by Deadline:
After a 19-month hiatus, television’s most-critically acclaimed comedy series Louie will make its season four debut on Monday, May 5 at 10:00 PM E/P, and FX will air two all new episodes of the Emmy Award winning show back-to-back every Monday at 10:00 and 10:30 PM E/P for seven consecutive weeks through June 16, announced John Landgraf, CEO, FX Networks and FX Productions.
Many fans have been wondering where the show has been, but the quirk and uniqueness of the show has allowed Louis C.K. to go about producing it in an unconventional manner. You can’t blame him either, as rather than force episodes, he’s producing them as they come and that’s the best way to stay fresh.
It’s a webisode style of making a show, only Louis C.K. is doing it on cable television. No matter how he gets the shows out, all we know is that the show is returning this May and fans cannot wait.
