Saturday Night Live has announced their next batch of hosts and it’s an eclectic mix to say the least. While we all knew that Louis C.K. will be hosting the next new episode of the show, NBC and SNL have announced that Pitch Perfect star and Oscar nominated actress Anna Kendrick will be hosting the show for the first time in her career in April.

Per The Hollywood Reporter:

Happy Christmas, will make her SNL hosting debut on April 5. Pharrell, whose latest solo album GIRL debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and was an Oscar nominee for “Happy,” will be the evening’s musical guest.

She’s an actress and a musician promoting two different projects, but she has one thing on common with the other hosts we’ve seen this season. Kendrick is yet another firs time host this season, adding her name to the likes of Kerry Washington, Edward Norton and Drake.

So far, first time hosts have faired very well with only Jim Parsons falling flat so far. Kendrick is an Academy Award nominated actress, so she has a lot going for her on SNL, plus she’s shown her comedic chops in the past which means we may be in for a pretty decent show.
