NCAA March Madness 2014 Sweet 16 Schedule

After taking a break to rest up and refill the basketballs with air, the NCAA Tournament returns tonight to CBS and TBS with the first slate of Sweet Sixteen games. Tonight kicks off another weekend full of college basketball games. By Sunday the Final Four teams will be decided. Of the four games two of them feature surprise teams, and two feature the best teams in their bracket.

Here’s the complete schedule for tonight’s Sweet Sixteen games, and Hidden Remote’s pick to win.

7:15 p.m. ET, CBS: (11) Dayton vs. (10) Stanford

Two Cinderella teams kick off the night. Dayton defeated Ohio State and Syracuse, two giants in the world of College Basketball to make the Sweet 16, while Stanford defeated New Mexico and heavily favored Kansas to get to this point. Both teams looked great in the first weekend of the tournament, but our pick here is Dayton. They have a “team of destiny” vibe to them. The good part about this game is that either team can win and claim the mantle of “Tournament Underdog”.

Pick – Dayton

7:47 p.m. ET, TBS: (6) Baylor vs. (2) Wisconsin

Baylor knocked off Creighton, and in the process eliminated a plethora of brackets. Wisconsin meanwhile hasn’t been challenged yet in either of their two games. They destroyed American University in their first game, and were never challenged by Oregon in the second game. Baylor might have the colorful jerseys, but Wisconsin has the talent.

Pick – Wisconsin

9:45 p.m. ET, CBS: (4) UCLA vs. (1) Florida

If you picked a chalk bracket then this is the game for you. Florida has been playing down to their opponents in the first game, while UCLA dominated lesser competition. In the end the maturity of Florida wins out.

Pick – Florida

10:17 p.m. ET, TBS: (4) San Diego State vs. (1) Arizona

The night ends with a West Coast nightcap between these two California teams. Arizona just demolished Gonzaga, a team everyone loves to pick, and has the firepower to do the same thing to San Diego State. This is a marathon game for those of us on the East Coast. Look for Arizona to win in convincing fashion.

Pick – Arizona
