After nine seasons of laughs CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” finally competes the story behind Ted meeting his wife on tonight’s series finale. The show started off with the simple premise of Ted telling his kids the story of how he met their mother, but quickly expanded into something much larger. The lives of Ted, Robin, Marshall, Lily, and Barney became the “Friends” for a new generation. The show perfectly captured the time period between college and married life.
My favorite all time moment from the show was the revelation that Robin was a teenage pop star in Canada. Robin Sparkles pulled from the grand tradition of Debbie Gibson and Tiffany and rocked it out at the mall. Her video “Let’s Go to the Mall” was an immediate viral hit.
The writers soon realized that Ted was sort of a wet blanket compared to Barney’s love life or Marshall’s singing during chores. Nothing is funnier than Jason Segal’s Marshall sings while filling out his checks.
Here’s the promo from CBS for tonight’s “How I Met Your Mother” series finale.
Dare I say that tonight’s finale could be legend-ary. The description for tonight’s episode doesn’t give much away.
Ted finally finishes telling his kids the story of how he met their mother.
What we do know is that tonight’s finale is a special hour long event. “How I Met Your Mother” has one of the best casts on TV, and deserves the proper send off. Of course HIMYM fans shouldn’t be too upset because it won’t be long before “How I Met Your Father” kicks off on CBS.
