Might former NFL player turned television host Michael Strahan be pulling double duty in the near future?
After Josh Elliot opted to depart the morning news show, Good Morning America was in need of a replacement and apparently has their eyes set on Strahan.
The former New York Giants defensive end isn’t new to the television scene as he’s been a member of the Fox Sports studio team for a handful of years before joining forces with Kelly Ripa on Live! so the transition to Good Morning America wouldn’t be overly difficult.
Regardless, Strahan refused to confirm that he is accepting the potential gig, only suggesting that he has taken part in talks and would ‘love’ to join the morning show.
Michael Strahan addressed reports that he’ll be joining Good Morning America on Wednesday’s edition of Live!, saying he has taken meetings about participating on GMA and would enjoy a co-hosting role on the early morning talker. Strahan stopped short of announcing his new position as a done deal, though insiders have confirmed to EW that he will be pulling double-duty on ABC in the mornings.
For what it’s worth, Strahan did mention that if the job was to be accepted, he would not be leaving the Live! show, so rest assured your television will have plenty of Strahan moving forward.
