All eyes are on George R. R. Martin this week with his baby, HBO’s “Game of Thrones” returning this Sunday to HBO. Fans of the show have endless questions for Martin, especially when he plans on releasing the next book in the Fire and Ice series. In support of “Game of Thrones” returning to HBO on April 6th, Martin talked to HuffingtonPost.com about what fans can expect from the upcoming season.
Martin promises that there are moments during the 4th season that will top previous high water marks of the show. Here’s what he has to say about the prospects of a giant battle to end the season.
“At the end of the season there’s a gigantic battle sequence that we had Neil Marshall (Blackwater) direct,” he said. “And I hear this new battle is even bigger and better than the Blackwater scene.”
After the shock of the Red Wedding in season 3 viewers have to wonder if there is anything that could top that horrific moment. Before that the biggest moment in the show was the battle of the Blackwater. The exploding ship full of wildfire and Tyrion’s defense of the main gates were must see events.
