Do any of the women on the Real Housewives of New York City actually like each other? From the actions in the first four episodes of season 6, the women are this close to throwing elbows at each other. Aviva and Carole are still clawing at each other over their respective careers as authors. Aviva still thinks it is fine to specualate about Carole needing a ghost writer for her book. She loves to tell anyone who will listen that “it takes a village” to write a book. Carole appears to think that in her case it might have taken a village idiot to get Aviva’s book finished.
The fight between those two women spilled out last week into LuAnn’s Hampton’s party. In the middle of yelling and finger pointing LuAnn tried to calm the room with offers of dessert. That didn’t work out so well. Things got so heated that Heather pulled out her Bad Boy honed tools and went after Aviva’s drunk friend. Tonight’s new episode, titled Everybody Thinks We’re Drag Queens, kicks off with the conclusion of LuAnn’s fight filled party. After that most of the women participate in the Mermaid Parade, while Aviva returns to the place she lost her leg in a clear promotion for her book.
Here’s the Bravo synopsis of tonight’s episode.
A rare honor is bestowed upon Carole at the Coney Island Mermaid Parade, which leads to Carole, Kristen, Sonja, LuAnn and Heather cavorting around the boardwalk dressed as sea-going drag queens. Meanwhile, Aviva and Reid head Upstate to see if Aviva can face her biggest fear — the very machine that took her leg when she was a child.
In a shock to no one, some of the ladies take to the drag queen look better than others. LuAnn is six feet tall with the voice of Harvey Fierstein, so it’s not a shock that people take her drag queen look as the real thing. Here’s the Bravo preview of the ladies working the parade route.
