Dancing with the Stars: Party Anthem Week 6 Results

After an enchanting Disney Week, Dancing with the Stars switches gears with a night dedicated to party anthems. The show kicks off with a killer group number which ends with the introduction of tonight’s guest judge LMFAO’s Redfoo.

As with last week, the results are being given as the night goes on. First to find out their fate are NeNe Leakes and Tony Dovolani, and much to their surprise they’re safe.

NeNe Leakes and Tony Dovolani

Dance: Salsa

Song: “Hot in Herre” by Nelly.

Score: 33/40

Carrie Anne Inaba: 8

Redfoo: 9

Len Goodman: 8

Bruno Tonioli: 8

NeNe and Tony are back on good terms this week after resolving their issues from last week. However the pairs Salsa lacks the same passion and flair of their week five dance (maybe the pair needs that little bit of tension). The dance is still good and earns the pair a 33 out of 40.

Time for more results. Next we find out that James Maslow and his partner Peta Murgatroyd are safe and that Candace Cameron Bure and her partner Mark Ballas are the first couple in jeopardy, they’ll find out their fate later in the show.

Dance: Cha Cha Cha

Song: “I love It”  by Icona Pop

Score: 32/40

Carrie Anne Inaba: 8

Redfoo: 8

Len Goodman:8

Bruno Tonioli: 8

Candace’s Cha Cha was the perfect mix of sexy and confident. You can truly see that Candace is getting more comfortable with channeling her sexier side and her technique is getting better each week.

Dance: Quickstep

Song: “You’re the One that I Want” from Grease

Score: 35/40

Carrie Anne Inaba: 9

Redfoo: 9

Len Goodman: 8

Bruno Tonioli: 9

After getting the first perfect score of the season, James and Peta have a lot to prove this week in their quickstep. The dance seems to get the best of the pair as they seem slightly off this week. However, the pair still manage to put on one of the best routines of the night and earn a 35 out of 40.
Before we find out the fate our the next couples, the show brings us the another amazing Macy’s Stars of Dance routine. Back to the results, the next two couples to find out their fates are Danica McKellar and Valentine Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. It is revealed that Meryl and Maks are safe and that Danica and Val are in jeopardy and will find out their fate later in the show.

Dance: Cha Cha Cha

Song: “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston

Score: 36/40

Carrie Anne Inaba: 9

Redfoo: 9

Len Goodman: 9

Bruno Tonioli: 9

Danica is another contestant coming off a great week five performance. Her cha cha is fun and entertaining and the couple manages to get a 36/40, keeping them towards the top of the leader-board.

Dance: Tango

Song: “I Feel so Close to You Right Now” by Calvin Harris

Score: 40/40

Carrie Anne Inaba: 10

Redfoo: 10

Len Goodman: 10

Bruno Tonioli: 10

It’s never easy to choreograph an intense dance such as the tango, to an upbeat dance song, yet somehow Maks put together a perfect tango for their song. The couple gave one of their best performances yet and earned the only perfect score of the night.

We now find out that the final three couples will learn their fate after they all have performed. Up first of the three is Drew Carey and Cheryl Burke.

Drew Carey and Cheryl Burke

Dance: Tango

Song: “Super Freak” by Rick James

Score: 32/40

Carrie Anne Inaba: 8

Redfoo: 9

Len Goodman: 7

Bruno Tonioli: 8

With such a talented group of celebrities it’s particularly easy to pick out the weakest in the bunch. Unfortunately, Drew and Cheryl are unable to produce a memorable and entertaining tango, and they leave both the audience and the judges wanting more.

Charlie White and Sharna Burgess

Dance: Cha Cha Cha

Song: “Everybody Dance Now” by C&C Music Factory

Score: 36/40

Carrie Anne Inaba: 9

Redfoo: 9

Len Goodman: 9

Bruno Tonioli: 9

The last time we saw Charlie take on a Latin routine, the dance didn’t go over to well and he lacked hip movement. This week however, Charlie was able to redeem hisself with a fun and energetic cha cha. With a score of 36/40, Charlie and Sharna help push theirselves back up towards the top of the leaderboard.

Amy Purdy and Derek Hough

Dance: Jive

Song: “Shout” by the Isley Brothers

Score: 38/40

Carrie Anne Inaba: 9

Redfoo: 10

Len Goodman: 9

Bruno Tonioli: 10

This week we saw Amy and Derek tackle the jive. The dance was going perfectly until the pair had a little flub in the middle of the routine. Had the couple managed to avoid the mishap, there is no doubt in my mind that the couple would have received a 40 of of 40.

Time for the final results. First to learn their fate are Drew and Cheryl who find out that they are in jeopardy, which means both Charile and Sharna and Amy and Derek are safe.

Time for the final results. The first couple sent to safety is Danica and Val. Which means that either Drew and Cheryl or Candace and Mark will be leaving the show tonight. Dim the red lights and eerie elimination music, the couple leaving the show is… Drew and Cheryl.
