Are you ready for some football?
After winning a multi-network bidding war earlier this year for the rights to air a series of NFL Thursday Night Football games, CBS has finally released the schedule for their Thursday night line-up.
CBS will air seven of the eight games beginning in mid-September through late-October. The eighth Thursday night game will actually air on Saturday, December 20.
With the release of the Thursday Night Football schedule, fans of CBS show that air on Thursdays have become anxious about the fates of their favorite series. The two most notable series effected by Thursday Night Football schedule are comedy The Big Bang Theory and drama Elementary. Many fans have questioned whether the addition of the Thursday night games will affect when their favorite series return, but Les Moonves, CBS CEO, has insisted that the shows will not be delayed in their fall returns.
Moonves stated back in February that the shows will most likely begin their fall seasons on a different night of the week and then return to their original time-slots in November (just in time for November sweeps).

October 2: Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers (@Green Bay)

October 16: New York Jets vs New England Patriots (@New England)
October 23: San Diego Chargers vs Denver Broncos (@Denver)
December 20: San Diego Chargers vs San Francisco 49ers (@San Francisco)/ Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins (@Washington)
Thursday Night Football will air at 8:25/7:25 c on CBS and will be simulcast on NFL Network.
