USA network is giving Graceland the ultimate show of support, by airing a promo for the series’ upcoming second season in movie theaters across the country.
In preparation of the sophomore series June return, USA network is hoping to help the series to bring in a larger season two audience by airing a featurette in select US theaters.
While the practice is fairly common among networks, the move by USA show’s the network’s confidence in the series ability to gain viewers and grow. The Jeff Eastin (White Collar) created series averaged about four million viewers in it’s first season, in the summer of 2013.
The featurette being shown is a combination of clips from the show’s first season, as well as sneak peaks of the upcoming second season. The cinema spot will run in NCM Media Networks’ FirstLook pre-show program in an estimated 20,000 plus theaters, with the featurette beginning to be played on Friday.
Graceland centers on a group of six undercover government agents from the various branches of law (FBI, CIA, Customs) all living under one roof. The undercover house, better known as Graceland, was seized in an drug investigation and has since been turned into a safe house for the agents. The members of Graceland all must balance the fine line between right and wrong, as they juggle their always changing undercover aliases.
