Medium Alum Joins AMC's Hell on Wheels

AMC’s Hell on Wheels is welcoming a new character for the series upcoming fourth season. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Jake Weber (Medium) will be joining the series as a regular in season four.
For those unfamiliar with the series here a brief synopsis of the program’s plot per IMdB:

Cullen Bohannon, a former soldier and slaveholder, follows the track of a band of Union soldiers, the killers of his wife. This brings him to the middle of one of the biggest projects in US history, the building of the transcontinental railroad. After the war years in the 1860s, this undertaking connected the prospering east with the still wild west.”

Weber is set to play John Campbell a “transplanted carpetbagger using his Reconstruction bag of tricks to profit from the frontier.” Campbell, and his corrupt entourage, will “complicate life for every character who sets foot in Cheyenne.”

Weber’s most recent role was in a three episode arc on Fox’s cult drama The Following, where he played  cult leader Micah.

Hell on Wheels was renewed by AMC back in November. The series’ fourth season will return in the summer with an 13 episode run.
