History Orders Pawnography, Game Show Based on Hit Series Pawn Stars

Get ready for more Pawn Stars, because History Channel has ordered a brand new spin-off series based hit reality show. Pawnography is a brand new game show based on the hit television series.

History Channel’s senior Vice President of programming, Frontain Bryant, spoke of the network’s desire to further the Pawn Stars franchise:

We are thrilled to work with Leftfield Pictures on this exciting and challenging new game show that combines the two elements that make Pawn Stars an absolute fan favorite —  history and the fun, family-dynamic between the Harrison’s and Chumlee. This show gives viewers the chance to go head-to-head with the man who knows a little bit about everything, Rick Harrison, and take home treasurable items from the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawnshop.”

The half-hour show will feature contestants competing against each other and the Pawn Stars cast in various rounds of trivia questions. The series will be set in Las Vegas and will be taped in front of a live studio audience.

Contestants will be competing in hopes of winning cash prizes along with “coveted” items from Rick Hamilton’s, co-owner of Gold and Silver Pawn Shop, personal collection.

Rick & Corey Hamilton, along with fellow star Chumlee Russell, will “vigorously defend their treasured items from confident and brainy contestants.”

The ten episode series is set to air this summer on History Channel.
