Real Time with Bill Maher May 2nd: Preview and Live Stream

While HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher is a consistent source for sharp political comedy, the show is always better when there’s juicy news in the air. The Donald Sterling scandal definitely qualifies for the title of juicy. Real Time with Bill Maher is filmed in LA, so expect Maher to come out swinging towards the racist boob Sterling. Maher welcomes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to the show tonight to discuss that issue and more.

Here’s the complete guest list from HBO.

Former professional basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar; musician Ziggy Marley; author Walter Kirn; Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.); finance expert Monica Mehta.

Maher also stirred the pot recently with his tweet about Craig Ferguson’s decision to depart the Late, Late Show on CBS. Check out the tweet below.

Maher does have a point here in the media reaction to Ferguson leaving. Ferguson’s departure is obviously a result of him being passed over for Letterman’s time slot. When other personalities like Conan and Letterman himself were given the short stick it was covered like a messy divorce. Most of the media just shrugged at the way CBS dealt with Ferguson. There was a definite lack of empathy from CBS in the decision.

Tune into tonight’s show to hear about these stories and much more.
