TV Land Renews Hot in Cleveland for Sixth Season

TV Land is keeping the heat up, announcing that comedy Hot in Cleveland has been renewed for a sixth season.

The cable network announced the renewal on the set Thursday, during rehearsal for the series upcoming 100th episode.

Hot in Cleveland, currently in it’s fifth season run, has averaged 2.6 million viewers since it’s debut in 2010.

The series centers on three middle-aged, best friends Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli), Joy (Jane Leeves) and Victoria (Wendie Malick) whose lives are forever changed when their plan, headed for Paris, has to make an emergency landing in Cleveland.  When the women discover how much better life is in Cleveland, they decide to stay in Cleveland, renting a house that comes with a very opinionated caretaker (Betty White).

TV Land President Larry W. Jones credits the cast’s chemistry to the series overwhelming success:

There’s instant magic when our cast, writers, and crew get together for each episode. We’re so excited to be reaching these milestones and can’t wait to see what lies ahead in Cleveland.”

Hazy Mills Productions’ Sean Hayes and Todd Miller executive produce the series along with showrunner, writer Suzanne Martin, Lynda Obst, Jones and Keith Cox.

Hot in Cleveland airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on TV Land.
