2014 White House Correspondents Dinner: Preview and Live Stream

One of the biggest nights in Washington D.C. is the annual White House Correspondents Dinner. The event, affectionately known as “nerd prom”, brings together some of the biggest figures in media, Hollywood, and politics. Any event attended by the President and the First Lady will bring out the bold faced names. This year’s event is headlined by Joel McHale, the host of The Soup on E! and the star of NBC’s Community. A successful appearance at the Dinner is a guaranteed career boost. Of course McHale has to wait three hours until he hits the stage, so it is not the easiest gig out there.

The event also gives President Obama a chance to roast the people in the crowd. His jokes at Donal Trump’s expense were the highlights of the most recent Dinner.

C-SPAN is the best source for White House Correspondents coverage. Here’s the info about their coverage from the Washingtonpost.com

…this event is C-SPAN’s Super Bowl, and they cover the whole thing. Live red carpet arrivals kick off at 6 p.m., and the channel switches to show the dinner at 7:45 p.m. Livestream it here.
