NBC has announced that freshman series Believe, Community and Growing Up Fisher as well as second year drama Revolution have all been canceled.
Revolution‘s first season was a huge success for NBC, bringing in a large number of weekly viewers as well as performing well in the adults 18-49 demo. However, this season NBC moved the drama to a new night where the series gradually fell from glory. The cancelation is still a surprise, as despite a large decline from season one’s ratings, the one-hour drama still drew stable numbers for NBC.
The cancelation of Believe, Community and Growing Up Fisher were hardly unexpected. Just earlier this week, NBC pulled Sunday dramas Believe and Crisis from the schedule for an SNL special which was the first nail in the coffin for the two series.
The only four series on NBC that have not learned their fate are freshman drama Dracula, American Dream Builders, and summer series Undateable and Night Shift. As Undateable and Night Shift have not yet aired it is too soon to make any calls on their fates on the network. American Dream Builders is most likely heading towards cancelation, while Dracula‘s fate is a fifty-fifty shot at renewal.
