Jimmy Fallon proved his love for New York City when he moved The Tonight Show back to NYC. Now Fallon is proving his love for New York sports specifically the New York Rangers who are heading to the Eastern Conference Finals in the fight for the Stanley Cup. Fallon is showing his faith with a little bet with the Rangers’ opponent the Montreal Canadiens.
You’re probably wondering how two entities like Jimmy Fallon and the Montreal Canadiens even get together to make a bet like this. They took to Twitter, of course.
Through a series of tweets the Canadiens threw out a lot of suggestions to the funny man which did lead Fallon to say no thank you for a bit. A little more pushing from the French brigade and asking Fallon what he wanted gives us the finalized wager.
If the Canadiens win, Fallon has to wear a Canadiens jersey during one of his monologues on The Tonight Show. If the Rangers win, the Canadiens have to change their Twitter avatar to a picture of Fallon plus they have to tweet out ten pictures of their mascot Youppi wearing a Rangers jersey in public in various places around Montreal.
As if playoff hockey wasn’t awesome enough, TV fans now have an extra reason to tune in.
