HBO Releases 'True Blood' Season 7 Trailer & Teaser for New Series 'The Leftovers'

HBO’s True Blood is finally saying goodbye.

The Emmy and Golden Globe winning series, will return for its seventh and final season this summer, and HBO has released the official season seven trailer.

For the past six years fans of the series have come to know and love the telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and the supernatural world she has been thrown into since meeting Bill (Stephan Moyer),  a “Southern Louisiana gentleman and vampire.”

The series also stars Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Alexander Skarsgard, Chris Bauer, Kristen Bauer van Straten and Joe Manganiello.

Season seven will premiere June 22, with the first of a ten episode final season.

HBO is also hoping to garner intreats in new series The Leftovers, releasing a new teaser with the True Blood trailer.

The Leftovers hails from Damon Lindelof and is based off Tom Perrotta’s bestselling novel. Amy Brenneman, Charlie Carver, Max Carver, Carrie Coon, Ann Dowd, Christopher Eccleston, Michael Gaston, Emily Meade, Annie Q, Margaret Qualley, Justin Theroux, Liv Tyler, Amanda Warren and Chris Zylka are set to star in the drama which follows the aftermath of The Rapture.

The Leftovers is set to premiere Sunday, June 29 at 10/9c on HBO.
