Ratings: 'Night Shift' & 'America's Got Talent' Steady, 'Wife Swap' Hits High

The Night Shift is still going strong!

NBC’s freshman summer medical drama The Night Shift managed to retains nearly all of its premiere audience in its second outing. Tuesday’s all new episode brought in 7.2 million total viewers and pulled a 1.5 mi the demo rating, down just 6 percent and a tenth in the demo from last week’s debut.

Opening the night or NBC, and all new America’s Got Talent easily won the night with 11.1 million total viewers and a 2.8 in the demo rating. While Tuesday’s outing shed 7 percent and two tenths from its season premiere last week, the talent competition series easily won the night.

Here is how the nights other new outings faired:

ABC: Extreme Weight Loss opened the night for ABC with 3.9 million total viewers and a 1.1 in the demo rating, losing two tenths in the week-to-week measurement. Closing the night, Celebrity Wife Swap‘s finale averaged 4 million total viewers and a 1.4 in the demo, rising to season highs in both categories.

Fox: An all new Riot (1.2 mil/0.4) lost 14 percent of its viewers and shed 33 percent of its demo rating. Closing the night, I Wanna Marry Harry (1 mil/ 0.4) was steady.

The CW: In The CW’s only new outing, the series premiere of Famous in 12 averaged 728,000 viewers and a 0.3 in the demo rating.
