Ratings: 'NBA Finals' Lead Sunday in Total Viewers & Demo

The fast national ratings are in and ABC’s broadcast of the NBA Finals Game 2 managed to outperform all other programs on Sunday night.

NBA Finals Game 2 managed to attract 12.6 million total viewers and pull in a 5.0 in the demo rating, putting this year’s Game 2 match-up right on par with 2013’s Game 2 outing.

Here is how the night’s other new outings faired:

CBS: CBS’ broadcast of the Hugh Jackman hosted  Tony Awards averaged 7 million total viewers and a 1.2 in the demo. This year’s awards were slightly down in audience compared to 2013’s ceremony, but the 2014 Tony Awards were steady in the demo compared to 2013.

Fox: Enlisted was down once again this week, only managing to bring in 1 million total viewers and a 0.4 in the demo. In Fox’s only other new outing, the Cosmos‘ finale (3 mil/ 1.1) lost 14 percents of its week-to-week viewers and shed two tenths in the demo.

NBC: NBC’s annual broadcast of the Miss USA pageant averaged 5.5 million total viewers and pull in a 1.4 in the adults 18-49 demo. The 2014 Miss USA pageant was up 20 percent and a tenth compared to the 2013 Miss USA broadcast a year ago. Miss USA‘s 2014 broadcast also managed to outperform CBS’ 2014 Tony Awards in the demo be a narrow margin of 0.2.
