WWE News: Ric Flair Returning Full Time, Huge WWE Network News & More

It has been an extremely busy last couple of days for the WWE, with several announcements coming out of the company.

From the announcement of a WWE Legend’s lingering return to the WWE to major WWE Network news, here is a breakdown of WWE’s biggest stories of the week so far:

PWInsider reports that WWE legend Ric Flair has passed his required medical testing, allowing for Flair to finally return to the WWE full-time with a regular role in the company.

WWE Network received a huge shout-out in Entertainment Weekly’s “Summer TV Preview Issue” with the WWE Network App being ranked number 10 on their “Must List.” In the piece, Entertainment Weekly cites:

“The expanding archive features almost every show the company has ever run. Finally, Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 3 in 1987 and Chyna’s title victory at No Mercy 1999 are never more than a few clicks away.”

Dean Ambrose was injured during Monday’s Raw. WWE Senior Ringside Physician tweeted out a photo of Ambrose’s brutal chin injury which you can see below:

Former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho will star in Team Tiger Awesome, a new Comedy Central comedy series. Jericho will play a “loose cannon detective who kills time on an endless stakeout with his by the books partner by sharing feelings with each other.”

Actor, comedian Kevin Hart will act make a special guest appearance on the Monday, June 16 edition of Raw. Hart will appear on the show to promote Think Like A Man Too.

WWE Diva Brie Bella has officially been moved from WWE’s current roster to its WWE Alumni page on WWE.com. The move is geared to help sell the story that Brie has in fact been fired from the company.

The plot for WWE Studios upcoming See No Evil 2 starring WWE superstar Kane has finally been released. The sequel will see Jacob Goodman (Kane) rising from the dead in the city morgue following his killing spree at the Blackwell hotel. See No Evil 2 will follow a group of medical students fighting to survive as the psychotic Goodman begins to kill them off one-by-one.

E! announced that season three of Total Divas will premiere this fall, returning to the network on September 7.

WWE Network is finally available for streaming through the XBox without a XBox Live membership. The new availability for the network should help attract new WWE Network members (a positive note for WWE stockholders).

Finally, WWE Studios has finally announced the release date for Leprechaun: Origins starring WWE Superstar Hornswoggle. The rebooted version of this horror fill franchise will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 30, 2014. Prior to its DVD and Blu-Ray release, Leprechaun: Origins will be released in August on pay-per-view and video-on-demand.
