Jimmy Kimmel Presents Special NBA Edition of 'Mean Tweets'

Ah Twitter, a place where fans can go to rant off about their favorite celebrities and everything they like and (and more often) dislike about them.

Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has turned Twitter’s cruelest anti-celeb tweets into one of his most popular segments on Jimmy Kimmel Live in a segment known as “Mean Tweets which features a series of celebrities reading off some of Twitter’s harshest tweets about themselves.

This Sunday during a special primetime edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live Kimmel presented a special NBA themed edition of “Mean Tweets” as part of ABC’s NBA Finals coverage. The segment featured a series of of NBA players and coaches including Jalen Rose, Paul George, Dwight Howard, Bill Simmons, Jeremy Lin, Kris Humphries, Damarcus Cousins, and Dikembe Mutumbo.

While some simply laugh off the tweets, a few players offered a pretty funny response including Jeremy Lin’s comeback to a misspelled, typo filled tweet stating that the star athlete needs to “git to the weight room.”

Here is the clip from Sunday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night special which aired before ABC’s broadcast of the NBA Finals’ Game 5 in which The Miami Heat faced off against the San Antonio Spurs:

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weekdays at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
