Ratings: 'America's Got Talent' Steady, 'Night Shift' Down

ABC’s coverage of the NBA Finals finally complete, NBC easily won Tuesday night bringing in the night’s largest audiences.

Starting the night off for NBC, America’s Got Talent‘s audition rounds continued as the show reclaimed its position above all other Tuesday outings. Tuesday’s new episode attracted 11.3 million total viewers and a 2.6 in the coveted adults 18-49 demo, even with last week’s numbers in both categories.

Closing the night for NBC, a new episode of The Night Shift brought in 6.6 million total viewers and a 1.4 in the demo. While the freshman medical drama remained steady in the week-to-week ratings, the series saw its first decline, shedding a tenth in the demo.

Here is how Tuesday’s other new outings faired:

ABC: Without the NBA Finals, ABC saw heavy declines in total viewers on Tuesday night. Extreme Weight Loss returned to just 2.9 million total viewers and a 0.8 in the demo, losing 29 percent of its total viewers and 33 percent of its demo from its last new episode.

Fox: After pulling the plug on freshman series Riot and I Wanna Marry Harry, Fox ran a series of reruns on Tuesday night. With the help of comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Family Guy, Fox saw gains in both total viewers and in the demo.

The CW: A new episode of Famous in 12 managed to pull in 630,000 total viewers and a 0.2 in the demo, losing a tenth in the demo.
