Ratings: 'American Ninja Warrior' Rises, 'Bachelorette' Down

NBC’s summer dominance continued on Monday, as an all new American Ninja Warrior achieved the night’s highest demo rating.

American Ninja Warrior managed to attract 5.5 million total viewers and pull a 1.8 in the adults 18-49 demo, rising 17 percent to a season high in total viewers and gaining two tenths in the demo. Monday’s new American Ninja Warrior  performed extremely well considering its lead-in, a rerun of Last Comic Standing (3.5 mil/1.0).

Here is how the night’s other new episodes performed:

ABC: Monday’s all new The Bachelorette managed to attract the night’s largest audience as 5.9 million total viewers tuned in to the series. While The Bachelorette brought in Monday’s largest audience, the series was down nine percent in total viewers and fell two tenths in the demo. Ending the night for ABC, a new episode of Mistresses (3.7 mil/ 1.0) was even with last week’s numbers.

CBS: In CBS’ only new outing of the night, a Under the Dome catch-up special averaged 4.3 million total viewers while pulling a 0.8 in the demo.

Fox: Starting the night off for Fox, a new episode of MasterChef average 4.9 million total viewers and a 1.7 in the demo, down a tenth in the demo. Following MasterChef24: Live Another Day attracted 5.7 million total viewers and a 1.4 in the demo, rising slightly in total viewers, but steady in the demo.

The CW: Whose Line Is It Anyway (1.6 mil/0.6) was up a tenth in the demo, and steady in total viewers. Ending the night for The CW, Beauty and the Beast (800,000/0.3) was flat.
