Sunday’s all new Rising Star managed to attract 5.2 million total viewers and a 1.5 in the adults 18-49 age demo. Sunday’s newest episode was down ten percent in total viewers and twenty percent in the demo from its series premiere a week ago.
Opening the night off for ABC, an all new Wipeout averaged 4 million total viewers and a 1.0 in the demo. Sunday’s new Wipeout was down a tenth from its season opener the week before.
Here is how Sunday’s other new outings faired:
CBS: As the only other broadcast network with new programing on Sunday CBS easily managed to outperform ABC’s new outings. Big Brother season 16’s first Sunday outing averaged 5.8 million total viewers and a 1.8 in the demo, down from Thursday’s episode which average 6.6 million total viewers and a 2.3 in the demo. While Sunday’s episode was down from Thursday’s new outing, the episode was even with the series’ first Sunday outing from season 15.
Following Big Brother, the series premiere of Reckless saw a heavy decline averaging a mere 4.1 million total viewers and a 0.7 in the demo.
Closing the night for CBS, the season three premiere of Unforgettable brought in the night’s largest audience averaging 6.2 million total viewers and a 0.9 in the demo, rising a tenth from its May finale.
