Following NBC’s season two pick-up, an all new The Night Shift brought in 7.2 million total viewers and a 1.5 in the adults 18-49 age demo. Tuesday’s new outing was up 20 percent in total viewers and 25 percent in the demo from last week’s new episode, and the episode was also up 10 percent and a tenth since its lasting outing with a new America’s Got Talent lead-in.
Opening the night for NBC, America’s Got Talent averaged 11 million total viewers and a 2.6 in the demo, on par with its last original Tuesday outing. Tuesday’s new America’s Got Talent easily managed to win the night for NBC in both total viewers and in the demo.
Here is how the night’s other new outings faired:
ABC: Kicking off the night for ABC, a new Extreme Weight Loss averaged 3.2 million total viewers and a 0.9 in the demo, losing 11 percent of its total viewers and a tenth in the demo. Following Extreme Weight Loss, an all new Celebrity Wife Swap attracted 3 million total viewers and a 0.9 in the demo, down 21 and 30 percent respectively.
The CW: An all new Famous in 12 averaged a mere 520,000 viewers and a 0.2 in the demo, flat in both measures.
