Taye Diggs Lands Recurring Role on CBS' 'The Good Wife'

Taye Diggs is making his way to CBS.

Diggs has landed a recurring role on season six of The Good Wife playing a lawyer at the series’ central law firm, CBS announced on Monday.

Diggs has been cast as Dean Levine-Wilkins, a “talented equity partner at Lockhart/Gardner” who chooses to join Diane Lockhart (Christine Barananski) at Florrick/Agos, the law firm run by Julianna Margulies’ character Alicia and Matt Czuchry’s Cary.

In a joint statement, executive producers and show-runners Robert and Michelle King spoke about their excitement in welcoming Diggs to the long-running drama:

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Taye on the show. We’ve been huge fans for years and love his ability to play comedy and drama with equal ease.”

Diggs will join season six in a major recurring arch, appearing in multiple episodes. In addition to adding Diggs to the season six cast, The Good Wife‘s upcoming season will also feature the return of Matthew Goode’s character Finn Polmar.

Diggs can currently be seen in TNT’s new summer crime drama Murder in the First, Mondays at 10/9c.

The Good Wife returns Sunday, September 21 at 9/8c on CBS.
