Courtney Love Joining 'Sons of Anarchy' In Major Recurring Role

Yet another rock icon is joining Sons of Anarchy‘s final season.

TVLine reports that rocker Courtney Love has been cast in a pivotal role on the FX drama’s seventh and final season.

Love has been cast as Ms. Harrison the “straight-shooting preschool teacher” of Abel, Jax’s (Charlie Hunnam) oldest son, who she will “take a special interest” in. Love’s character will undoubtedly strike the nerve of Abel’s mother Wendy (Drea de Matteo, who recently was bumped to series regular).

Love’s new arc on Sons of Anarchy  will mark the rocker’s first return to dramatic television in years. Love won critics over for her supporting role in 1996’s The People vs. Larry Flynt, even managing to earn a Golden Globe nomination.

Love is the second rock icon to be cast in the Sons of Anarchy‘s upcoming seventh and final season. FX announced earlier this summer that rocker Marilyn Manson will appear on the series in a recurring role as a white supremacist. Walton Goggins (Justified) will also return for season seven guest starring as transgender prostitute Venus.

Sons of Anarchy will return for its seventh and final season this fall on FX. Make sure to catch Love’s Sons of Anarchy debut in episode 4.
