James Garner (The Rockford Files, Maverick) passed away over the weekend at the age of 86.
The veteran actor was found dead in his home Saturday evening, with multiple sources reporting that he died of natural causes.
Garner shot into the limelight as Bret Maverick in the television series Maverick from 1957 to 1960 (Garner would later reprise his role in the 1994 movie version of the series). Following the success of Maverick, Garner returned to the small screen in the 70’s as the charming private investigator Jim Rockford on The Rockford Files from 1974 to 1980.
