Ken Jeong Lands Lead Role in New MTV Comedy

Ken Jeong is heading to MTV!

Jeong (Community, The Hangover) has joined the cast of MTV’s newest comedy venture from Andy St. Clair and Paul O’Toole, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Now titled Ken Jeong Made Me Do It, the new comedy will center around Andy, a 22-year-old, who “after catching his girlfriend cheating, accidentally rear-ends Jeong’s fancy car.” Following the accident, Jeong, who portrays himself in the series, will take Andy under his wing to help him become a true man.

Ken Jeong Made Me Do It will be written by OToole and St. Clair, who will also co-executive produce the series along with Jeong; Jeong’s manager Brett Carducci; and Odenkirk Provissiero’s Marc Provissiero.

Ken Jeong Made Me Do It is currently MTV’s only new comedy project in development, as the network focuses on expanding its drama line-up with a Scream series in the works and the launch of new drama Finding Carter.

Jeong is one of Hollywood’s hottest stars, with the actor already juggling multiple projects including his role on the recently revived Community, which was picked up for a sixth season on Yahoo Screen following its cancelation on NBC.
