Freddie Prinze Jr. Calls Keifer Sutherland Out at Comic Con

Ever wonder why exactly actor Freddie Prinze Jr. stepped  back from acting? The answer might come to a surprise.

Prinze Jr. was a much sought-after star in the 90s appearing in a series of hit films, so why exactly did Prinze Jr. step back from his acting career? In a new interview with ABC News, Prinze Jr. explained that working on Fox’s 24 with Kiefer Sutherland was such a horrible experience that he “wanted to quit” acting:

“I did 24, and it was terrible. I hated every moment of it. Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That’s not me talking trash. I’d say it to his face. I think everyone that’s worked with him has said that.”

Prinze Jr. continued, noting that even his work with the WWE was more pleasant than working with Sutherland:

“I went and worked for Vince McMahon at the WWE for Christ’s sake, and it was a crazier job than working with Kiefer. But at least he was cool and tall. I didn’t have to take my shoes off to do scenes with him, which they made me do. Just put the guy on an apple box or don’t hire me next time. You know I’m six feet and he’s five four.”

Since stepping back from acting in 2010, Prinze Jr. has returned to the business, and will be lending his vocal talents for Disney XD’s new Star Wars series Star Wars Rebels.
