The former Tonight Show host will return to NBC this Thursday appearing as a guest mentor on NBC’s comedy competition series Last Comic Standing.
Leno will appear during this week’s “Title Round” as this season’s final guest mentor. During the “Title Round” series host JB Smoove informs the remaining five contestants that they will be heading to Las Vegas to work with “one of the funniest comedians in the world.” Enter Leno, who speaks candidly with the group about stand-up comedy, sharing personal stories from his stand-up career and offering advice to the contestants to help further their careers.
Using Leno’s advice, the remaining comics will perform a stand-up set for judges Roseanne Barr, Russell Peters and Keenan Ivory Wayans. The judges will then decide which contestants move on to the final four and which comic will be eliminated.
Leno’s mentoring role on Last Comic Standing will mark the former late night host’s first return to NBC since exiting the Tonight Show in February.
Make sure to catch Leno this Thursday on Last Comic Standing at 10/9c on NBC.
