The fast national ratings are in for Monday night, with NBC’s American Ninja Warrior managing to claim the night’s highest demo rating. Monday’s new American Ninja Warrior pulled in 5.8 million total viewers and a 2.1 rating, up two tenths in the demo managing to edge out ABC’s The Bachelotte from 9-11 pm. Another high note for the series, Monday’s new outing marked a two year high in the demo.
Kicking off the night for NBC, the series premiere of Running Wild with Bear Grylls opened with 4.6 million total viewers and a 1.4 in the demo, making the series this summer’s second highest rated new reality series behind ABC’s Rising Star.
Here is how the night’s other new outings faired:
ABC: Over on ABC, the season finale of The Bachelorette attracted 7.5 million total viewers and pulled a 1.9 in the demo, down 15 and 27 percent respectively from its previous season finale and hitting an all-time finale low. Leading out of The Bachelorette, ABC’s After the Final Rose special pulled in 7.9 million total viewers and a 2.1 in the demo, also slightly down from last year’s special.
CBS: In CBS’ only new outing of the night, an all new Under the Dome pulled in 6.6 million total viewers and a 1.5 in the demo, steady with last week’s numbers.
Fox: Over on Fox, a new MasterChef served up 5.6 million total viewers an a 2.0 in the demo for Fox, down one tenth in the demo. Closing the night, a new Hotel Hell pulled in a mere 4.1 million viewers and a 1.5 in the demo, coming up flat.
The CW: The CW’s annual coverage of the Young Hollywood Awards pulled in 780,000 total viewers and a 0.3 in the demo, down in total viewers while steady with last year’s broadcast in the demo.
