The cable network has renewed Dick Wolf’s unscripted series Cold Justice for a third season.
From Wolf’s Wolf Reality and Magical Elves’ Dan Cutforth and Jane Lopsitz, Cold Justice follows former crime scene investigator Yolanda McClary and former prosecutor Kelly Siegler as they work to solve unsolved cases. Since its premiere in 2013, the duo has aided law enforcement with 15 arrests, eight criminal indictments, four confessions and two guilty pleas.
Season three of Cold Justice will feature 10 new episodes, up from its freshman season order of eight episodes and even with the initial season two order (which was later upped to 16 episodes). Season three will feature a series of new cases and new states that producers promise have not yet been seen on the series.
Since moving to Friday nights this summer, Cold Justice has averaged 2.3 million total viewers (when seven day delayed viewing is factored in), up 24 percent from its run last winter. This summer’s installment has also seen gains in the series demo, rising 12 percent among adults 25-54 and 13 percent among adults 18-49.
Season three of Cold Justice will debut some time in early 2015.
