The bell is about to start ringing louder for those associated with the long-running fan favorite series Saved By The Bell as the first video from the tell-all behind the scenes Lifetime movie is now online.

Based on the unauthorized novel by Dustin Diamond, who famously played Screech on the series, the movie looks to expose all the backstage drama kept from the public during the show’s run. The teaser clip shows one such moment that occurred during one of the promotional photo shoots where teen angst was seemingly riding high among the cast.

The Unauthorized Saved By the Bell Story is set to air September 1st on Lifetime and features a cast including Dylan Everett (Degrassi: The Next Generation) as Mark-Paul Gosselaar,  Julian Works (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) as Mario Lopez,  newcomer Alyssa Lynch as Tiffani Thiessen, Tiera Skovbye (Supernatural) as Elizabeth Berkley and Sam Kindseth (Shameless) as Diamond.

Given Lifetime’s sudden rise in the realm of made-for-TV movies thanks to the Flowers In The Attic series you can expect a full court-press of press as we get closer which should make things very interesting.
