Sunday’s newest Rising Star pulled in a mere 2.9 million total viewers and a 0.7 in the adults 18-49 age demo. Rising Star‘s quarterfinal performance episode was down 22 percent in total viewers to an all time low. Opening the night for ABC, a new Wipeout pulled in 3.2 million total viewers and a 0.8 in the demo, falling 16 percent in total viewers and 20 percent in the demo.
Here is how the night’s other new outings faired:
CBS: Due to CBS’ extended coverage of golf, Sunday’s CBS lineup was almost completely bumped from the schedule. With CBS’ golf coverage running two hours over its planned timeslot, CBS opted to pull both Unforgettable and Reckless from the night in all time zones. Airing two hours behind schedule at 10/9c, a new Big Brother managed to pull in an estimated 5.4 million total viewers and a 1.7 in the demo (those numbers will likely adjusted later in the week), down from last week’s double eviction while still managing to win the night for CBS.
Fox: In Fox’s only new outing of the night, the annual Teen Choice Awards pulled in 2.6 million total viewers and a 0.8 demo in adults 18-49. The annual award show, hosted by Teen Wolf‘s Tyler Posey, was on par with last year’s broadcast.
