With the twentieth anniversary of NBC’s hit comedy Friends quickly approaching, NBC will celebrate the series’ major milestone with by offering fans of the series a special event.
For one month only this fall, fans of Friends will be able to get their hands on a cup of coffee from Central Perk, the fictional coffee shop featured through the series’ ten season run, Hidden Remote has learned.
The pop-up coffee shop will temporarily set up shop in SoHo, New York (more specifically 199 Lafayette Street at the corner of Broome Street). Fans can stop by the popular coffee shop where Chandler, Joey, Monica, Phoebe, Rachel and Ross often came together to talk about their problems and hang out, and pick up free cups of Eight O’Clock Coffee including the Central Perk Roast.
NBC is pulling out all stops for the special pop-up Central Perk shop. In addition to featuring props from the show such as the iconic orange couch, there will also be live musical performances. Central Perk owner Gunther (James Michael Tyler) will be making random appearances at the shop and fans will even have the opportunity to purchase and win Friends merchandise.
The limited pop-up Coffee Perk will be opened from September 17 – October 18.
