Hulu Acquires Rights to Starz Comedy 'Party Down'

Get ready to party!

Hulu has acquired rights to Starz popular comedy Party Down, the online streaming site announce on Wednesday.

Lisa Holme, Director of Content Acquisition at Hulu, looks forward to bringing subscribers access to the fan favorite series:

“Hulu is a top destination for great, cult comedies, which is why Party Down is the perfect addition to the Hulu library. We know our viewers will enjoy watching some of their favorite actors showcasing their comedy chops in this hilarious show,”

Party Down premiered on Starz back in 2009 as a series following a group of Hollywood acting wannabes who make their livings working for a L.A. catering company. The short lived series lasted just two seasons, accumulating 20 episodes total.

Created by Rob Thomas (Veronica MarsParty Down starred Lizzy Caplan, Ryan Hansen, Jane Lynch, Ken Marino, Megan Mullally, Adam Scott and Martin Starr.

Starting this Friday, August 29, every episode of Party Down will be available on Hulu’s paid service, Hulu Plus. Hulu will also offer the first five episodes of the series for a limited time on Hulu.com for fans to view free of cost.
