Discovery Channel’s hit ‘Gold Rush’ franchise is about to get a little bigger through a new 3-part docuseries set to follow star Parker Schnabel on an unforgettable journey!

Discovery Channel today announced the debut of a new Gold Rush spinoff series which looks to follow star Parker Schnabel on unforgettable journey to the Klondike Gold Rush trail through the three-part docuseries Gold Rush: Parker’s Trail.
For years, Gold Rush star Parker Schnabel has questioned whether he possess the strength and heart of the original gold mining stampeders and this March, fans are about to find out whether he has what it takes to beat the odds on a trek across the legendary Klondike Gold Rush trail! Growing up in Alaska, Schnabel’s family of gold miners long spoke of journey made by more than 100,000 individuals from 1896 to 1899 in which they ventured into the frozen North on the now legendary Klondike Gold Rush trail – though only one in three would complete the journey.
Now, inspired by his grandfather’s legacy, Schnabel will take on the most difficult challenge in his life by traveling across the Coastal Range from his Alaskan home to the fabled trail. With the help of foreman Rick Ness, wilderness guide Karla Ann, and cameraman James Levelle, Schnabel and his team will take on the treacherous terrain, raging torrents, and chilling temperatures in hopes of making it to their final destination.
It all begins on March 31 as Schnabel and his team set on out on their journey and quickly face what may prove to be the most difficult portion of their adventure: a 45-degree ascent! In order to make it through, they’ll need to rely on one another and work together as a team in order to complete the first stage of their journey.
