As we approach an eventual production start date for J.J. Abrams Star Wars Episode VII, a lot of rumors are being churned out and reported all over the place. The folks at Latino-Review, who the world has come to love for their juicy, albeit sometimes incorrect rumors, have apparently uncovered some information about the upcoming Boba Fett spinoff film that is scheduled for a 2018 release.

As was reported a while back, Star Wars veteran Lawrence Kasdan is expected to pen the script and Latino-Reveiw claims to have uncovered some pretty intense story details that could be involved.

According to the site, Kasdan was not a fan of the Attack of the Clones origin story for Boba Fett which saw him come about as a clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett. To correct this, Kasdan has pitched the idea of the spinoff film starting with a nameless, faceless stranger killing the Boba Fett from the prequels and stealing his armor.

This new ‘Man with No Name’ homage will lead to restoring the mysteriousness behind the character being restored and will essentially hit the rest button on Boba Fett’s origin story.

None of this has been confirmed and it’s highly unlikely we will hear anything about the Boba Fett spinoff for some time. But this re-telling of the Boba Fett origin story is a wild idea that is sure to split Star Wars fans down the middle.
