Celebs React to US Women’s World Cup Victory

The US women’s soccer team walked away with the Women’s World Cup on Sunday, setting Twitter ablaze with tweets of celebration.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock – and hey, no harsh feelings to those of you that have – you’ve probably heard about the U.S. women’s soccer team defeating the defending champions, Japan, on Sunday to cap off a stellar season.

The U.S. team defeated Japan 5-2 to take home the team’s third title overall and their first World Cup title since 1999. Carl Lloyd easily stole the show, scoring four goals in a mere 16 minute time span in what will now stand as the highest scoring Women’s World Cup game in the history of the game.

Needless to say, Twitter was set ablaze as everyday fans and celebrities alike from across the globe took to Twitter to share their pride in the team’s victory.

While there were too many tweets to compile into one feature, here are a few of our favorite reactions from various celebrity users. (Though I think Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles’ photo takes the cake!)
