CBS’ ‘Mom’ has added a former Disney darling to its Season 3 ranks, booking actress Emily Osment in a recurring role.
Emily Osment is turning in her apron and chef’s hat for some “special” brownies.
As first reported by TVLine, Osment has booked a recurring role in Season Three as a young drug addict named Jodi. Jodi will pop up throughout Season 3 as Christy (Anna Faris) and Bonnie (Allison Janney) work to help the young addict get her act together and finally find sobriety.

Osment’s casting comes on the heels of several casting shake-ups for the third year comedy. As previously reported, Season 3 will see both Jamie Pressly and Beth Hall return as the series’ newest series regulars. Meanwhile, previous regular Spencer Daniels (Luke) will not return in a regular or recurring role in Season 3.
It remains unclear whether Osment’s role on Mom will affect her commitment to her ABC Family comedy Young & Hungry – which returns for the second part of its second season on Wednesday, August 19 at 8:30/7:30c on ABC Family.
Mom returns for its third season Thursday, November 5 on CBS.
