The Scarlet Witch Speaks Out About Civil War
One of the confirmed characters for Captain America: Civil War is Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. Her portrayal of one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe in Avengers: Age of Ultron was refreshing. She was one of the highlights of the film. She has recently spoken with Collider about her appearance in Captain America: Civil War, and beyond:
“I was only there for five weeks of it, but we were all super stoked about it… Even though the Ultron robots are so intensely human because of its mind, we’re actually dealing with humans this time through and through.
There’s nothing scarier than something that’s like you being dangerous, so I think it’s darker and it’s fun. It’s really fun – it was so hard to shoot, but I think it’s gonna be a really interesting film. I’m excited to see how they’re gonna end it, I wanna see what the ending shots look like because I wanna know what the ellipses is at the end of the film.”
She goes on answer whether she will be returning to the screen for Marvel in Avengers: Infinity War films, saying: “Those are things I would like to know too (laughs). Those are things I have a group of people with me right now that would like to know too.”
I am one person who would like to see her return and possibly begin the long road to losing control. I think that (in terms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe) her power is pulled back a bit, but we may still come to see that she is one of the few superheroes that can stand up to Thanos.
