Monday TV Ratings: ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pulls in the night’s largest audience as ‘The Voice’ edges out ‘DWTS’ for the night’s best demo rating.
A new Dancing with the Stars averaged 11.6 million total viewers and a 1.7 demo rating on Monday night. Monday’s new DWTS managed to hold steady with last week’s overnight figures and edged out The Voice to rank as the night’s most-watched outing.
Leading out, Castle attracted 6.9 million total viewers and a 1.2 demo rating, rising six percent and a tenth from its most recent outing. Pending any DWTS over-run or MLB related adjustments, Castle is currently looking at its largest audience of the season, while tying its Season 8 demo high.

Here’s how Monday’s other new offerings fared:
CBS: For those curious enough to see if Monday’s Big Bang reruns were able to best Supergirl‘s most recent outing (don’t worry, I was just as curious as you)… The Big Bang Theory‘s double pump of reruns averaged 6.8 mil/1.5 and 7.1 mil/1.6 – down from Supergirl‘s the 7.2 million total viewers and 1.7 demo rating Supergirl‘s most recent outing delivered.
NBC: Over on NBC, a new episode of The Voice opened the night to 10.3 million total viewers and a 2.4 demo rating, dipping to a set of Monday night lows for the season while easily winning the night’s demo race. Leading out, a new Blindspot attracted 5.7 million total viewers and a 1.4 demo rating dipping to its own set of series lows.
